Overview
One of my favorite things to do for my kids is make them art for their bedroom walls. It’s a good creative outlet for myself to work on something fun and explore a different skill set or technique, and at the same time make something that’s meaningful.
This has been an ongoing project for several years where I have been creating watercolors of my kids favorite animals to frame and hang in their rooms.
The process for all of these was very similar: Carbon transfer of animal image onto watercolor paper, initial wash using a combination of brush and pencil. Final detail and texture added with pencil.
